The twelve classic bedrooms are filled with raw brass light fixtures and beds that are custom designed by woodworker Dave Cummins. Marked by octagonal posts, the frames are made out of solid pine and are handcrafted in his upstate studio.

In the kitchen, polished statuario marble covers both the island's countertop and the backsplash in the custom kitchen cabinet block. PSLAB designed the light fixtures, and the island has open shelving incorporated into it for easy access to cookbooks and other reading material.
To avoid constant maintenance issues—after all, “durability is part of sustainability,” Gaffney states—the roof is clad in standing seam metal and the siding is composite plastic decking, rather than easily weathered wood.
