1,400lb King Bed. Built in the space from extra timbers not used in the construction of the home. 20" wide oak planks make up the head and foot boards. 4' wide sliding doors, 4' wide traffic areas through the home to provide ease of flow, wide plank oak flooring milled my hand onsite, all wood walls and ceilings.

A blackened steel staircase by Delform leads to the upper level. A tall glass clerestory frames views of the Empire State Building and reinforces the indoor/outdoor motif
Two art studios adjoin a central volume at this work/live residence built from terracreto (sustainable concrete), glass, and painted steel just outside of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Residents Austin and Lida Lowrey, retired design and museum professionals, collaborated with their two daughters—Sheridan, an artist, and Elizabeth, an architect—to design the structure as a place for creative contemplation.
Weinfeld’s cinematic streak is also evident in the home’s interiors: he designed the entertainment center in the media room. The rug is from Clatt Carpete & Cia. Throughout the house, the Strozenbergs use floor-to-ceiling curtains for privacy.
