The powder room was relocated to the other side of the entry, accessed by a door in the wood paneled wall. Inside, the walls are covered in the same adobe brick as the living room. The floating vanity is wrapped in travertine silver marble with a Rino Rosto mirror above it.

Orlando designed a custom semi-circular eave to protect the aluminum door frames from sun and rain. It is fabricated from a metal frame covered with cementitious panels.

Eliminating the deck and the small rooms off the terrace created a unified living space that extends between inside and out. For continuity throughout, the flooring is irregular slabs of marble with an antiqued finish. A linear drainage system was installed with the embedded track for the glass doors.

A Sonia bench by Brazilian Modern designer Sergio Rodrigues sits beside a C404 coffee table in Jequitibá wood (also by Marcus.) The Wire Frame shelf by Vírgula Ovo displays a few of the couple's favorite things, like a framed ticket stub from a Sade concert that they attended early in their relationship, on the lower shelf.

Seattle-based Shed Architecture & Design worked with kitchen systems company Space Theory to create Quynh-Vy’s dream kitchen, complete with pink cabinets, open walnut shelving, and a 12-foot marble island.
