Carney Architects was established in 1992 in Jackson, Wyoming, with a vision of using thoughtful design to enhance the community and to leave a positive legacy of buildings in tune with the region's natural splendor. Since its inception the firm has grown to a staff of more than twenty, led by founding principal John Carney and two partners, Eric Logan and Kevin Burke. The organization maintains an informal and collegial atmosphere and encourages both individual creativity and teamwork in an open environment.

The work of the office spans a wide variety of project types in Wyoming and the greater west. Residential architecture includes single-family houses, townhouses, and affordable housing. Other projects include community facilities, commercial buildings, resorts, and mixed-use complexes.
