The extensive use of glazing on the first floor of the home allows light to enter, and also creates a strong sense of the surrounding nature preserve inside the living space.
In the bathroom beneath the stairs, copper fixtures and subway tile feel at once sensitive to the home's roots and very of the moment. It is this attention to cohesiveness that the Don't Move Improve! award seeks to recognize.
The master bathroom used to be a tiny kitchen in what was once a tiny apartment. The cabinets were designed by Nilus de Matran and fabricated by George Slack.
