Soft Witness is based between New York and Florence, and you can feel the balance of global taste at work in founder Whitney Krieger’s designs. The Cono chair, debuting in this presentation, is upholstered in super soft camel-colored alpaca mohair and is luxuriously comfortable. Every piece in this display felt slightly unexpected, graceful, and well-constructed.

“We’re hoping this renovation provides some solutions for how to take our existing homes and make them sustainable into the future, because we’ll never build completely new homes for everyone in time to handle the climate crisis,” says resident Todd Vogel.

This spacious kitchen was designed for simplicity and functionality. Black and white kitchens that incorporate elements of gray tend to have a softer look. Seen here, gray accents, like the pendant lights and backsplash color, abound. Says the architect, "The design of the interior achieves a softer touch by using bespoke detailing and a rich palette of materials such as stone and timber."
