Modern Custom Home in Paradise Valley, Arizona designed by SpaceLineDesign Architects.
This 7,300 sf contemporary home is cut into the steep mountain slope, stretching out linearly along the contours, while embracing north easterly views 40 miles distant to the Four Peaks range.
Prime facade space is limited on a mountain hugging home, so here we arranged what would otherwise be a bulky 7 car garage to have minimal impact by giving access through just a 2 car garage door.
Above the garage is the 5 bedroom/office wing and an outdoor corner patio for kids play while providing nice neighborhood valley views a forming the pivot point over to the dramatic main entry.
Intersecting angular wall planes and textured layers of stone over stucco welcome the visitor in to the main entry. This journey is guided by the homes only curved element of 24 vertical textured fins set in a gently flowing stream and profiled in heights to match the natural curve of this steep site.
Inside you'll find a grand staircase draped in green and open to the sky with views straight up the mountain. The 12 person open dining is framed behind by a bistro wine cave, literally carved into the solid rock and framed with wood and glass.
Huge kitchen and great room, nearby bar and spacious TV den all embrace the front yard pool patio where you'll find a full length double negative pool and jacuzzi fire zone.
Overlooking the entire estate from above is the Master Bed Rm. But to get there, you first have to cross a 35' long glass floored bridge-walk leading to the very private Master Suite, offering 2-way fireplace, a luxurious bathroom and fantastic, long distant views out to the McDowell mountains.
