In 1981, George Sowden became one of the founders of the design collective Memphis Group, and since then, he’s collaborated with the likes of Alessi, Swatch, and Pyrex. The colorful Sowden Coffee Pot (2017) consists of a stainless steel container, porcelain exterior, and polypropylene lid. Made for brewing any coffee ground size, Its innovative SoftBrew brewing device infuses coffee through a centrally located micro-thin filter to enhance flavor and keep grounds out of the water.
