Braun ET66 Calculator When it originally debuted in 1987, Braun’s iconic ET66 helped elevate the calculator to an everyday personal item. Its sleek styling, slim plastic casing and approachable interface were the masterstroke of influential German designer Dieter Rams and his partner at Braun, Dietrich Lubs. Here the ET66 eight-digit calculator is faithfully reproduced, down to the inviting round buttons and high-contrast palette of its number and function buttons.

On Kawara Stamp Kit by Et Al., Etc. “EtAlEtcStampKit” $135 for the set "At Subports we make it a point to send hand written or adorned mail whenever possible. We are still awaiting for our own On Kawara stamp kit to arrive from Japan, and when it does it will definitely put to good use. The On Kawara stamp kit includes seven holds (1-5 line, one oval, one round), a black stamp pad, and 4mm (upper/lowercase and special characters) and 6mm (upper and special characters) letters organized in seven small cases. An empty case is included for letters that stray. An homage to Japan’s most notable conceptual artist and his series of “Date paintings”. Made in Japan in 2010 by Tokyo design firm, Et Al., Etc."

In the dining room, Guillerme et Chambron armchairs from Maison Gerard surround a CB2 table. The ceiling light is by Lambert & Fils. In the kitchen, rich blue cabinetry with wood details from GD Arredamenti is topped with a Caesarstone “Aire Concrete” counter. The gold artwork is by Joyce Billet.

In another one of Aumas' vignettes, he pairs a stuffed fawn from the Parisian store Design et Nature with a disco ball he used in a window display.

In the living area, a pair of rattan chairs found at the Paul Bert flea market in Paris join a coffee table designed by Guillerme et Chambron, also a flea-market find. A custom rug by CODIMAT was made in Madagascar.

For the outdoor dining room, interior designer Damon Liss selected a Soho pendant lamp by Joan Gaspar, Trennza chairs from Janus et Cie, and the Portica outdoor table from Room & Board. The sliding glass doors are by Arcadia.

A picnic table from Janus et Cie sits off the kitchen; the landscape architecture is by Richard D. Wood. In addition to passive solar, says Hawkins, “there is the added benefit of a thick concrete slab as a thermal mass that absorbs and stores the heat from the sun.”

From the compact quarters downstairs, you emerge into a bright, open second floor. It feels more expansive than its square footage thanks to a steel moment frame that eliminates the need for interior structural walls. In the dining room, a Lambert et Fils chandelier hangs above a black-stained, live-edge ash table.

The original layout had a tiny living area in the front that wasn’t spacious enough to accommodate entertaining. To create more space, Tang converted the second floor into a larger living room. Here, chairs and sofa from All Modern; drapery and rug from West Elm; fireplace custom-finished in Venetian plaster; light fixture from Lambert et Fils.

Winner: Nexus et2 by Chunsheh Teo The inspiration for the design concept was derived from the notion of transforming the nostalgic iconic form of a hay roll into the Nexus e+t 2 – a smart telescopic garage that merges and links the e (environment) and t 2 (transportation + technology) by creating a smart and flexible hybrid design for its users. The telescopic skin movement is connected to a sensor and runs on tracks on the floor; it will expand and contract the garage either automatically or with user settings. This feature provides the flexibility of housing for up to three vehicles. With the flexibility of the design, the system can also be customized to a one- or two-car garage. Read more here.

For the island, Tu Taller Design fashioned a Corian countertop with an integrated drying rack and cutting board to keep the space streamlined.
