Wow Suite – Love at first glance
Ingenious design solutions have brought an open wall and a sense of flow to a glamorous apartment like luxury yacht in the air right in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City.
“The premium materials set the tone for the entire project” – Interior Designer Quách Thái Công
The “wow” in Wow Suite comes from the way the space has been handled. The old uncoordinated and inconvenient layout of the entrance, living room, bedroom, kitchen, etc., has been transformed into the new, cleverly expanding space by using the method of opening - closing – a method that is full of creativity and aesthetics.
The existing, luxurious apartment of more than 140 square meters in a prime location, with a beautiful view of Saigon River, should be transformed into a superior level beauty according to the ultimate requirement: “Being high-class and beautiful is not enough, it must be extremely beautiful”. Instead of a designer, a “magician” is needed.
Wow Suite was designed to be a “come-and-go” place for the owner and their family every time they visit Saigon for work or stay for a short time. It is meant to be a living space that provides the feeling of being in a five-star hotel suite with full amenities right in the heart of the city. The designer has put his best efforts into using existing values and solutions in space treatment and interior decoration to create an impressive and surprising beauty and bring Wow Suite to the level: “Unimaginable”.
The kitchen that was previously small and inconvenient is now expanded and hidden behind a sliding door partition. Each space has been adjusted and balanced.
The entrance to the living room was re-designed to maintain privacy and the living space was separated from the bedroom by a movable partition.
The highlight in this new design is the primary bedroom, with a closed-open design that can expand the space with only a movable partition. With just a small action, like that of the snap of a magician, the partition opens, maximizing the space of the suite.
The collection of exclusive items such as a couple of Bon Jour Versaille lamps by Phillipe Stacrk and a host of curated art objects were mixed and matched perfectly with the highlighted surface of the fireplace to emphasizes the cozy elegant living room.
To enhance the sense of place, interior designer Quách Thái Công commissioned textural wallpaper from Hermés to dress walls throughout.
Under the expert touching of Thái Công, the 3-bedroom apartment transformed into a dreamy private suite with elected design.
