Exterior new and modern - interior in a sustainable design.

All furniture and the fixtures are vintage - second hand, refurbished, reused, complimented or repurposed. All textiles have been replaced or newly picked for hygienic reasons and under the aspect of longevity. Also new are the kitchen appliances (stove, fridge and dishwasher).

The rooms are furnished with expressive design classics, manufactured in the period from 1950 - 1970 and decorated with scaled-down art prints in delicate frames, fine accessories und decorative objects. The design includes the entrance area/hall, four rooms, two bathrooms and a balcony.

Apart from drawing up the overall concept Fine Interior dealt with the sourcing of all furniture, light sources, accessories and eco-designed objects as well as all of the new textiles.

While implementing the concept the built-in kitchen proved to be a particular challenge. The aim was to also have the complete kitchen equipped with second-hand furniture. An exciting process with a happy ending. The kitchen consists of eight vintage components sourced from five different sellers. New metal bars, which also serve as backslashes for the stove and the 1940s floor unit, combine all vintage components.

Under the aspect of longevity and for reasons of hygiene the inner wooden boards of the units dating from the 1940s as well as the string element were replaced with new ones. All electric appliances – fridge, stove and dishwasher – are brand-name products and new. The mix of materials works out – color and surfaces of metal, Resopal and wood achieve a perfect blend.
