Our Oakland studio is known for using color to make a design impact, and this home beautifully showcases our love for bold palettes. This project wasn't a full gut renovation, but we changed the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room and gave the home a joyful design language with printed wallpaper, modern furniture, and unique decor accents.
The living room is all about accent pieces and colorful fixtures. A beautiful blue built-in with open shelves and cabinets is the backdrop for a grand piano and a comfortable living room. The neutral-hued sofa and green leather chairs are balanced with a printed rug and a minimal fireplace with sleek lights.
The formal dining room has a light palette and views of the garden — it is furnished with sleek, modern furniture and geometric statement lighting. The bedroom is a cozy space with one design focal point — the bold mustard bed. The entire home flaunts an array of colors like the laundry room's yellow cabinets, the dark green accent wall in the bathroom, and the multi-hued tiled flooring in the entryway.
