Town Houses Puerto Ángel

From A-001 Taller de Arquitectura

Town houses Puerto Ángel is a complex of luxury suites located in the Bahia de Puerto Ángel en Oaxaca, this development is integrated in a property characterized for its slope of about 50° of inclination in an environment composed by cliffs.

The challenge: How to generate a property developmet project that is responsible for the context, the land and that it proposes a healthy dialogue around vertical architecture? How do you make a building that transcends mere construction?

Recognizing the complexity of the land is key for diagnosing what is the organization of the space that best resolves a project, in this case, the staggering of the properties allows us to capitalize the altimetric resoruces of the context and respect the diagonality of the land.

Puerto Ángel materializes he transition space between the clay stone of the mountain, the vegetal composition and the horizon of the pacific coast, generating a hybrid context where the user may focus its attention to the richness of the immediate environment from the interior of the project.

In order to make functional and adaptable modules to the topography; we utilized a constructive system of columns with reticular slabs.

The reticular seeming slab, besides being part of the interior design; allows the roof of a user to become the terrace of another, optimizing the space destined to the exteriors. With a materiality focused in elements of wood, glass and concrete, we achieve to open the facades to the natural environment, generating 270° views to the open see.

When the picture windows are required to open, the wooden louvers isolate the interior, while in the exterior the wood of this enclosure will be mimetizing with the color palette of the landscape.
