A serene sanctuary, in the heart of Mumbai's bustling Worli area, is a seamless fusion of modern luxury and timeless Greek aesthetics and stands as a beacon of tranquillity amidst the urban chaos. The journey began with a simple brief by the homeowners, who desired a space that embodied a sense of quiet luxury. They envisioned a home bathed in modern whites with subtle undertones of elegance. During one of her trips to Greece, designer Shimona Bhansali found the perfect muse on the enchanting island of Santorini. The name 'Zephyr,' meaning 'winds from the west,' aptly captures the essence of this inspiration that wafted into the home's design.

The team embarked on a journey to craft a narrative that resonates with the spirit of Greece. The colour palette draws from the volcanic landscapes of the Mediterranean - warm hues of rustic oranges and vibrant lava reds juxtaposed with the iconic Grecian blues. Each room within The Zephyr pays homage to Greek design motifs, with vibrant colours, rich textures, and intricate patterns that narrate a story of ancient aesthetics meeting contemporary luxury.

The layout presented an intriguing challenge – two apartments were combined to create this expansive space, resulting in a mirrored layout. The team ingeniously capitalised on this layout, ensuring abundant natural light and cross-ventilation throughout the day, true to the home's nomenclature.

The material palette is a harmonious blend of textures and tones. Throughout several rooms, understated yet sophisticated colours serve as a canvas for attention-grabbing elements like art, wallpapers, and decor. However, the bespoke rugs truly command attention in this home. Hand-knotted and inspired by Greece's vibrant colour identities, these rugs breathe life into the interiors.
