Our home is a small Mid-Century Modern, rambler-style home designed by celebrated Utah architect Ron Molen. Located in West Valley, in the coveted Westshire neighborhood. It is 1 of 155 that Molen designed and built as part of a joint project with Research Homes during the 1960s & 70s

After decades of abuse, all the beautiful characteristics that made this home so incredible have since been destroyed or removed. The conversation pit covered up. The skylights, forgotten. Less one remaining, original, cedar wall in the dining area, and a tragic late 80's - early 90's remodel. She had otherwise fallen into complete disrepair. We have spent the last two years planning meticulously, and we are now embarking on a mission to restore this once beautiful yet humble home to its former glory. In tandem with the restoration, we hope to modernize it in such a way that we might honor and pay tribute to the incredible vision and mind that is Ron Molen.

Our project is EXTENSIVE, and our budget is close to $300k. We just started demoing the entire house this weekend with hopes that our dream will become a reality in the next 6-8 months. We will be contracting through NailSetter Construction. As part of this top to bottom remodel. We will be adding custom walnut cabinetry throughout, along with white oak floors, high-end appliances, terrazzo tile (to replicate the once beautiful Molen trademark of aggregate), and so much more!
