The Sibling House is a 165.00 m2 single-family residence located in Culiacán, Mexico. The architectural design effectively addresses the spatial organization by dividing the ground floor into four distinct areas. The southern section accommodates the services and social space, while the northern part houses the garage and the garden. This thoughtful arrangement promotes optimal natural illumination and ventilation, particularly advantageous in Culiacán's warm climate. The interconnectedness of these quadrants facilitates seamless transitions and allows for both individual and collective use of the spaces. Additionally, the minimal use of partitions ensures unobstructed views of the entire property, creating a heightened sense of expansiveness.

The upper floor encompasses the primary bedroom, two secondary bedrooms, and a laundry area, intelligently arranged around a central hallway located in the southern portion of the property. Each of these rooms benefits from ample natural light provided by the garden situated to the north.

In terms of the facade, a visually striking solid volume rests upon a well-considered base, which artfully incorporates a strategic subtraction resulting in an interior garden on the upper level. This inviting aperture is delicately shielded by an aesthetically pleasing lattice, serving not only as a decorative element but also as a filter for the intense afternoon sunlight while ensuring privacy. The interplay of light and shadow created by this architectural feature fosters a captivating and dynamic visual experience, both from the exterior and the interior.

The integration of local plastering techniques, the incorporation of a green base, the use of a lattice, and the harmonious interplay of light and shadow generated by the presence of olive trees collectively contribute to the distinctive character and regional identity of The Sibling House.
