The Scullery Cafe

An urban cafe needing to improve visibility as well as enliven the sidewalk in a very transitional SF neighborhood. BROADBEARARCH took what tiny square footage allowed by the City and combined uses within the elements. The planter contains a discrete coffee ledge that flip us when needed and blends back into the Shou Sugi Ban planks when closed. The blackened steel is comprised of two single curvilinear shapes bolted together.
