The Peony suite. A modern renaissance apartment adorned in the style of Chinoiserie. It features a painting "The Flower Vase" by Giuseppe Castiglione (1688-1766). He was an Italian Jesuit brother in a missionary in China where he served as a renowned artist at the Imperial Court of three emperors in the Qing Dynasty. He interpreted the Chinese traditional style with an elegant European take. His works of art reflect the beautiful unique essence of the Peony apartment: a fusion of modern interpretation of European and Asian art.
The living room… a mix of the rich textures, luxe wallpaper, blue-and-white porcelain vases in classic shapes complimenting the beautiful original architectural details: the cast iron fireplace, Roman pillars, stain glass cabinets, original wood trims and ceiling moldings. In the master bedroom the hand painted golden mural wall and refinished vintage furniture showcase the coastal palette of blues and luxurious golden hues. A sense of nature and serenity combine with the Chinoiserie framed windows for a unique and exotic look with amazing intricate details. The master bedroom is a space where you are immersed in beauty and warmth waking up in the sunlit room in the morning. The second bedroom features a peaceful and inviting workspace: the walls of willow trees with perching birds creates a space with a delicate sense of nature and tranquility. The hand carved headboard design perfectly pairs with the sumptuous ambiance of the room. A vintage, oversized clawfoot tub in the bathroom.
