The Outpost

A weekend house in the Texas Hill Country for a Dallas couple who are active and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. The concept is that of a campsite, composed of separate pavilions organized around a central courtyard and linked by a cloister. Each unit contains different functions: living and eating; sleeping and bathing; and service/work. The exteriors are maintenance-free Galvalume corrugated steel juxtaposed by interiors of walnut wood paneling. An office is tucked upstairs in the tower with a roof deck on top, revealing 360-degree views of the surrounding hills.
