There is something about being able to restore some parts of this house and in some ways captivating if not just nostalgic. It has been around for decades and it has not gone through any updates until now. To say the least that this is a redemption project is probably an understatement but then again it maybe is. My parents both worked as government employees throughout their career—this was what they called the fruit of their labor. As simple as it is now, this was home. Of course, the interior looked totally different then. We had old cabinets and wooden furniture that took most of the space, according to Kathleene Quinn, owner of this unit.
This newly renovated home is a hidden gem in this subdivision. A modern industrial open-layout that elevates a standard Filipino loft-style townhouse. With 2 bedrooms and potential extension this unit boast a minimalistic and open floor plan approach to suburb living just outside of Cebu City. The high ceiling allows the new concept pendant light fixture to stand out while blending the living and dining space. The steel staircase is repurposed creating a balance to the concrete structure which also takes a nod to the typical architecture of multi-unit residential developments or row houses back in the 90s. Interior and staging was by Muhammad Hassan with the remodel completion led by HYVE Construction.
