From Graff Guild

When the owners of a beautiful 1920s West Orange Tudor approached Graff Guild for a bathroom update, they were looking to make minor but impactful changes while preserving the home’s original features. As the only bathroom with a tub in the house, it also had to serve as both a functional bathing spot for the kids – and a mini oasis for the parents.

For the project, we recessed the radiator and shifted the plumbing of the previous pedestal sink to make room for a utility-style sink with two faucets, and replaced the recessed hamper with a newly crafted, custom plaster niche as a new focal point.

We preserved the original bathing arches, aged brass hardware, and oak-paneled door as nods to the home’s 1920s DNA – and juxtaposed these architectural elements with sleek, custom-made mosaic tiling and a lime plaster finish.
