Built in 2013/2014, this 4000 square foot home is PHIUS+ certified. It's a "passive house", airtight and super-insulated, with an ERV and mini-split heat pump for HVAC . It has a 9.6 kW solar panel array and is a Zero-Energy home. Built as a mix of of modular and stick-built-on-site, it cost under $175 per square foot to build, including subdivision costs, site preparation and foundation costs, appliances, photo-voltaic system, finishing, architect and consultant fees, and town permits. Windows are triple-pane swing/tilt PH-certified. The first floor and basement have 9-foot ceilings.

It is located in a suburb five minutes from Manhattan and was designed to visually fit into its neighborhood.
