Stone Acres

Stone Acres is a 100 year old sheep farm and former apple orchard in the SoCal alpine community of Julian. Three years ago my wife and we’re looking for a second home and stumbled on Julian.

We are active venture investors with a focus on the built environment so many of our portfolio companies are relevant to the story.

The property had a small stone guest house which we renovated first, then created a master plan for the property, we had Drop Structures build a modular art studio for our daughter which has been a center peice to the blending of old world design and modern aesthetic.

Just as Covid was locking down the world and our own global travel we broke ground on rebuilding the 100 year old barn into the main house. We just finished and now the entire property is our weekend retreat as well as a very active multi unit AirBnB income producing asset.
