Spenla Master Bed & Bath Open Space Concept

A large handmade (by the owner) rustic barn door divides the room (and shows off a pretty arched door opening) from the rest of the house.

A soaker tub and large reclaimed beam (salvaged from an old barn) creates a casual boundary between bath and bedroom. Moroccan-inspired cement tile, a custom vanity, white quartz Kohler bath fixtures create a spa-like feel.

We would love to share our new open space master bed/bath built out of the desire to create one large usable space in a traditional San Diego Spanish home. The small, enclosed areas of our purchased home made moving through the space feel a bit disjointed and clumsy, a closed off bath opens up now into a master bed space with a simple rustic beam and large soaker tub casually dividing two rooms.
