Interior designer Betty Wasserman's Southampton Modern Farmhouse is a true labor of love. Collaborating with her architects and her daughter, Betty designed this stunning home that reflects her vision for a cozy, casual, and curated home.
The artful house boasts high ceilings, open spaces, and a beautiful living area. The centerpiece is a stunning fireplace wall floating in the center of the room, with ample space above to showcase the 25-foot ceilings.
From a salon and ballet room to additional media areas, a conference room, a full bath, storage, and office space, every aspect of the home has been carefully considered.
The master bath follows an open-plan concept, featuring an open wet area instead of glass shower enclosures. A spacious vanity provides ample storage, fulfilling Betty’s vision for the master bath. A study doubles as the fourth bedroom, while a well-designed mudroom offers storage and pegs for easy organization upon entry.
Betty’s love for Pelle Grigio, which is from Smartstone's Paris collection, sets the tone for the finishes throughout the house. Shades of grey and white create a sophisticated palette, while carefully selected flooring, fabrics, and rugs add warmth and comfort. Special attention has been given to the covered outdoor spaces to ensure year-round enjoyment, complete with outdoor drapery, comfortable seating, and outdoor rugs. This elegant home holds a special place in Betty's heart as it represents a deeply personal project. It is a testament to her relentless dedication to creating spaces that seamlessly combine beauty with functionality.
