From Catalano Architects

A seamless and contextual grouping of two homes which share similar programming and functionality, intentionally designed to feel complementary. The symmetrical form and roof peaks nod to the adjacent house while the landscaping seamlessly blends the sites. To amplify the feeling of connection, the main living spaces are situated on the East end of the home, nearest to the outdoor kitchen and pool - a shared space to pass between the properties. With summer hosting top of mind, and a desire to accommodate all ages, the third floor boasts an 8-bed bunkroom, and the lower level holds a media center and bar space for entertaining. An expansive pergola protects the rear terrace from southwesterly breezes with custom motorized roll down screens integrated into the structure.
