The combination of the oak floors, deep grey cabinetry, light quartz countertops, brass hardware and open shelving is such a timeless combination.

The classic feel of the cabinetry mixed with the Scandinavian stools and vertical paneling is so unique.

You would never know that these were the existing cabinets that we had professionally painted. The steel shelves modernizes the space and this view never gets old.

This open concept space was everything we had hoped for. We removed a window where the tv is on the wall and the space is now so functional.

We chose this chandelier for this space because it is so sculptural. It became the focal point of the room.

This custom built-in elongates this room so much and it feels like it was always there.

We knew we wanted an accent on this wall, so we chose to do hot rolled steel paneling. We love the juxtaposition of the masculinity of the wall and the femininity of the bed.

We added a soft curtain between the bedroom and bathroom for a simple solution for privacy.

This dresser feels vintage but it's new. We love the vertical paneling.

This emerald green tile is like the finale of the home. We love how the horizontal walnut grain carries through all of the cabinetry.

This 30"x30" porcelain tile floor could be mistaken for concrete with an exposed aggregate. It's so earthy and industrial.

The brass art deco lighting in this bathroom really balances the cool, grey floors.

Three words: Scandinavian. Modern. Desert. Scandinavian design is a design movement characterized by simplicity, minimalism and functionality that emerged in the early 20th century, and subsequently flourished in the 1950's. Modern design consists of neutral colors, clean design lines and environmentally-friendly materials. Desert modern style refers to California boho eclectic decor, a lot of mix and matching different patterns, mud-cloth pillows, rugs, in different layers. Our home was built in 1993, just down the street from Taliesin West, the home of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright from 1937 until 1959. You'll notice the tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright in the gallery wall of the guest bedroom. To really appreciate this project, we encourage you to really look at the before and after photos. We took down a wall separating the kitchen and living room which completely changed the feel of the space. This home was an entire gut: new flooring, baseboards, paint, custom cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, appliances, plumbing, you name it! In the kitchen, we were able to keep the existing cabinetry by having them professionally painted to match the new color scheme. Some of the wall cabinets had to come down when we removed the wall, which we re-purposed as a bar in the formal dining room. We incorporated custom steel work in the floating shelves in the kitchen and with the steel paneled wall in the master bedroom. We incorporated a custom concrete/terrazzo bar top in the dining room as well as a concrete vessel sink in the guest bath. We also incorporated wallpaper on the ceiling in the formal dining room. This home is full of surprises and we're positive every time you look at the photos, you'll notice a new detail you didn't see before.
