On perhaps one of the smallest lots in Ormewood Park, the Sanders Modern features over 1,760 sqft of living space as well as a large nearly 900 sq ft open roof deck and 200 sq ft rear patio. The rear patio integrates seamlessly into the floor plan providing an extension of the main entertainment space with the placement of large sliding glass doors. The roof deck offers a large 3rd floor outdoor space that allows for breathtaking fall and winter views of the Atlanta skyline.
Throughout the home the design makes use of floor to ceiling windows assemblies to bring in ample natural light. The exterior skin of the home consists of a combination of ipe wood veneer, glass, stucco and fiber cement lap siding with a varied exposures.
The ipe wood veneer is used to warm and soften the very modern exterior while also providing clean lines and a quality exterior finish. Large roof overhangs are used to shade and shelter for the 900 sqft roof deck that extends from the front to the back of the home.
Entering the home, the foyer provides 20’ ceilings and ample natural light via clerestory glazing with aluminum thermally broken frames.
The kitchen has quartz counter tops with waterfall edges, flat panel cabinet doors and white backlash tile. The living room opens to a large private outdoor deck off the back of the home.
The stair off the foyer grants access to the second floor bedrooms as well as the third floor roof deck. The owners bath provides a large shower, wall mounted toilet and wall mounted vanities. Stained solid panel wood doors with custom hardware also accent the home’s interior.
The construction consists entirely of wood framing with a poured foundation wall and footing.
