The project came to us when we had just gotten into the field. The clients we two brothers who wanted to drastically change their terrace into two large and beautiful bedrooms with a huge open outdoor space. The brief was simple, they wanted a lot of natural light, hence the design revolved around large openings and some near skylights.
The first bedroom is a versatile and multi-functional space, where with a push of the wooden sliding shutters the two spaces can be one. The bed is in the middle of the room which creates a study area at back. With a cosy corner for having a cup of coffee with a favourite book, the study with a large U-shaped window gets in all the fresh air and lights up the space. The warm wooden flooring in the bedroom is accompanied by the strikingly raw concrete floor in the lounge.
The second bedroom is a design on a lighter colour palette with an aqua blue-coloured wall. The skylight brings in ample light to brighten the room. A small niche houses the study with a long wooden desk. The huge windows act as a gateway to connect the room to the terrace outside.
