This bright and modern project was designed by interior designer Marina Mirasova for a young businessman. “My task was to create a stylish, dynamic space that would match the owner's lifestyle and preferences,” explains Marina.
The apartment measures 100 square meters and offers a stunning view of the city center. It is located in the legendary Clock House on Novy Arbat in Moscow. The client asked Marina to completely transform the apartment within four months. The main wish of the client was a respectable, solid, timeless interior in a contemporary style. Since the building is a designated architectural heritage monument and all apartment walls are load-bearing, we were unable to alter the layout.

The interior was created from scratch. Despite the client’s preference for dark, strong colors, he wanted the interior to be cozy and not gloomy. Marina suggested turning the hallway into a focal point by painting it in the deep hue EL MAR, which evokes the blue and green tones of ocean waves and sea foam. The centerpiece of the entrance composition was a striking metal artwork by Konstantin ZMOGK.

The living and dining areas are painted in a unified palette. The background gray color makes the space look restrained yet dynamic. Warm shades of gold in accessories and lighting fixtures and black details in the decor provide contrast. Natural wood finishes added warmth and a solid feel to the space, enhancing the dark color scheme. The furniture added a sense of cohesion and completeness: doors, partitions, and wall panels were custom-made according to the designer’s sketches.

In my opinion, a space should invite relaxation after a busy workday. The timeless solutions we implemented ensure that the interior remains as the owner envisioned," Marina Mirasova concludes.
