Located in the unique urban context of Montreal's Plateau Mont-Royal, this house echoes the neighbourhood's values and typology. Designed for a multigenerational family, the project's distinctive architecture is a tribute to the urban fabric's heritage. The contextual colours of the neighbours inspire the bricks' tones, and the project is a unique reinterpretation of the existing architectural typology - composed of porches, balconies and vertical built forms on three storey-levels. The contemporary living spaces are articulated and defined in a distinct volume made of wood and glass, while the mezzanine-inspired layout offers a vast open space with beautiful views of the Mont-Royal.
