Every detail of The Ridge was placed by master craftsmen, from the natural stone, which was hand-laid piece by piece, to the finishes and fixtures carefully selected for their ageless appeal.

Atop Westridge Road in Brentwood’s serene Mandeville Canyon, this newly designed home named, The Ridge, masterfully showcases sweeping views of the green hillsides of the Santa Monica Mountains down to the twinkle of Downtown Los Angeles. A picturesque hillside escape from the city, this home has been completely redesigned and expanded from its original mid century-style 50’s ranch by developer Jordan Bakva and interior designer Tatum Kendrick of Studio Hus.

While much of the home’s original charm was preserved, this 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath home was masterfully remodeled to offer a modern lifestyle. Nature and wellness inspired, the single-story home infuses natural materials and welcomes the outside in at every corner. With sweeping glass walls, the home exudes indoor, outdoor living and offers the best of the California lifestyle. Upon entering the home, a central, open-air atrium with a leafy olive tree sets a tranquil scene and the living room features an atrium encased in glass on all four sides. The open-design offers seamless transitions and the soaring pitched ceilings offer great scale. With the beauty of nature at every turn, this home is balanced and elegant.

Bakva and Kendrick blend sophisticated finishes and organic materials sourced from around the world. The kitchen fit for a chef features an oversized center island and breakfast bar which opens to a den, ideal for a home office, a family room, or fitness space. The kitchen features sleek arabascato Italian marble, a stone sink, light oak custom cabinetry and hand-built Lacanche ranges from France. Exquisite Parisian, blackened steel doors with brass hardware manufactured in Mexico, add a statement and open to the oversized, walk-in pantry.

The home’s bedrooms offer ultimate privacy. The master bedroom is located on one side of the house and the other four bedrooms are located on the opposite. The master suite resembles a 5-star wellness retreat with its own sitting room, custom walk-in dressing room and spa-style bath with a three-sided glass shower. This room was designed to offer an outdoor spa experience, looking out at the suite’s private, landscaped courtyard. The home's wellness-infused design offers a serene environment yet has plenty of entertainment spaces for hosting family and friends.

Once past the home’s interior living spaces, glass doors open to a beautiful landscaped yard with a hand-laid stone terrace. Native California plants and drought-resistant landscaping surround the oversized home site and offer shade and a sense of zen to the outdoor kitchen, pool, and spa. On the left of the home is a gorgeous sloping hill featuring meandering paths, perfect for a vegetable and herb garden or fruit trees.

2488 Westridge is offered at $4,699,000.
