The window and door frames were stripped and stained to match the frame of the vintage clock. Jute lights by Fog and Morup were used throughout the house.

Because Reggie didn't own the house, no doors or windows could be replaced. The vinyl windows in the bedroom were a particular annoyance so automated drapes were installed to hide them at the touch of a button. The rosewood Sergio Rodrigues bedframe sports Belgain linen sheets.

The game room already featured this distinctively retro dad-den wall panelling and carpeting. So Jared Frank studio leaned into it with matching velvet blackout drapery.

From Jared Frank Studio

Built in 1950 by Denver Markwith Jr. this midcentury ranch was rented to Reggie Watts in 2014. In 2019, Reggie hired Jared Frank Studio to decorate the one-level three-bedroom flat. The greatest challenge was that since Reggie didn't own, no drastic changes could be made to the interior architecture or the exterior paint colors. Jared Frank Studio decided to organize their scheme around the pre-existing color palette including the home's cherry-red kitchen cabinets and avocado green windowsills. A year later, Reggie brought Jared Frank back onto the project to design and build a backyard deck with built-in seating and planters.
