A growing family sought to add a 380 sqft master retreat that checks all their boxes and connects both the interior and exterior to take advantage for the true California lifestyle.
Floor to ceiling pocket doors enhance the small footprint while a half pitched vaulted ceiling lined with hemlock not only adds volume, but warmth within the space. The hemlock ceiling continues into the master suite that meets cement tile by Commune and custom white oak cabinetry.
In the master bedroom, floor to ceiling and wall to wall closets provides ample storage.
An electric fireplace fitted with cement tile not just creates mood, but provides heat in the colder months.
The exterior is clad with hardie board and painted with Farrow and Ball's "off black." 10 custom windows punch the wall to allow for privacy and diffused light for the home office behind.
The custom steel pergola with 2x2 redwood slats not only provides shade, but defines the seating area over the 28' redwood deck.
Corten steel treads lead you down to the custom cast in place pavers, dining table, corten steel fire pit and matching built-in gas bbq topped with a salvaged marble top.
