Project A-Frame

Me and my girlfriend Lea were supposed to leave for a sabbatical trip on our sailboat in the West Indies in 2020. When the pandemic started we quickly realised that the project we ad been preparing for for years was not going to happen, we tried buying a cabin to renovate to occupy our minds and not focus on the negative. We tried making offers on a property but we got outbid which was really frustating. It is at that time that we decided to build on our a-frame cabin in the woods. I compleytely designed the house and ad an architect draw the plans for permit. We hired to do all the rough of the house in about 4-5 months and then it took us almost 2 years to do the finishing. We wanted the place to have a modern feel but with a warm old cabin atmoshpere. We wanted the place to feel like you were at your grandma's house as a kid. A lot of the accessories and furniture were found at trifstores.
