Project A is a studio apartment for the creative bachelor. The client works in marketing and in parallel creates music, plays at parties and loves to discover new cultures. When he contacted us in 2018 for the design of his apartment, the house was just being commissioned, and the client himself was freshly impressed after a trip to Morocco. The goal of his apartment was to create space for creativity, life and small parties with a DJ.

The apartment is designed in a modern style and combines the eclecticism of countries such as Morocco, Peru and other cultural ethnicities. Of the materials, microcement, metal and corduroy prevail. Large layers of painted walls and areas in night blue color create a contrast against the bright orange blotches on the hood, semi-bar table and sofa. The entire interior consists of 3 main colors: dark blue, orange and white.

At the entrance, there is a wardrobe built into a niche for outerwear, a folding seat from a Soviet train and a mirror framed in red neon. The common area combines the kitchen, living room and workspace for everyday activities and music writing. Almost all the furniture in the project is custom-made by Ukrainian craftsmen. The sofa is built into a niche that used to have a balcony and can serve multiple functions for meeting friends and parties. Thanks to the modular cushion system, the sofa can be easily disassembled, and on separate modules can be placed throughout the living room. A custom-made writing desk with a removable table top makes it easy to work at the table and, if necessary, play DJ sets. In the bedroom, the headboard is made on the entire wall with a soft panel. It is dominated by dark blue shades in the wardrobe and corduroy bed upholstery. The floor is covered with carpet. A vintage pendant lamp was found at a flea market. It was manually restored and decorated in Moroccan style by the designer Katerina Kovalenko.
