The Gem House was designed by the team of Hugh Kaptur and Larry Lapham as part of their Desert Dorado project.
It was completely remodeled in 2021 with exquisite attention to detail in a Desert Japandi style. The home features extensive use of plywood and terrazzo. Many of the material and architectural choices were heavily influenced by the pandemic.
