OSTR - a two-storey apartment in a modern house in Lviv, Ukraine

A44 STUDIO was founded in 2015.
The studio deals with architecture, interior and product design. We are located in Lviv, Ukraine and work all over the world.
The basis of the studio's approach is the search for a balance between utility and aesthetics. This balance allows us to create projects that look great without losing their function. We strive for simplicity and sustainability. We focus on details, thinking about clients' comfort.

OSTR is a project of a two-storey apartment in a modern house in Lviv for a young family with two children.
Our task was to make efficient use of a relatively small living space, while creating both comfortable isolated rooms for each family member and a zone for common family activities.
The design in this project is based on generous natural light and natural materials, typical for the works of our studio. The calm color palette of the interior is complemented by architectural elements in vibrant colors.
The first level consists of an open space with a living room and kitchen filled with natural light, a master bedroom, and a shower room with a utility area. Concrete floors and built-in custom furniture visually unify and expand the space.
On the second level are the children's bedrooms and their bathrooms. Windows from the children's rooms facing the living room facilitate communication and allow the children to imagine themselves in a "tree house" within the apartment.
