The recently completed one level, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2500sf house is sited carefully within the existing landscape. The design of the full time residence supports the owners active indoor/outdoor lifestyle while opening up, via 10'+ tall sliding glass panels, to the expansive deck and incredible high bank west facing views & sunsets across the Salish Sea, with Vancouver Island, British Columbia in the distance.
Upon approach from the forest side, the house keeps a low profile, featuring a low sloped roof ready for future solar panels and a durable rainscreen siding application, which uses sustainably harvested Japanese Cypress boards, heat treated in the traditional Shou Sugi Ban process.
