The Owners, a husband and wife architect/designer team, moved from Los Angeles to Newport Beach 26 years ago looking for a community to raise their young family. The Nottingham Residence, located in the Dover Shores neighborhood, was the perfect find.

The home was built in 1957 and has a courtyard U-shaped floor plan (2,475 sq. ft.) with 3 bedrooms/2.5 bathrooms and a mindful separation of entertainment and private spaces. Since taking ownership, the Owners have meticulously remodeled and updated the home to create a stunning and serene environment centered around the design concept of merging indoor and outdoor living. Natural materials, colors, and textures, including stones, woods, glass, and metals were incorporated as much as possible. The home also utilizes enlarged windows, skylights, varying ceiling heights and soffits, 3 fireplaces, lighting, and multiple access points to lush gardens to facilitate the seamless transition from indoor to outdoor and vice versa.

The home has close proximity to excellent K-12 schools, restaurants, shopping at Fashion Island, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, golfing, the beach, boating activities, and medical centers. There is no doubt that living in Newport Beach is another day in paradise.
