A complete, unique basement redesign including many custom details. This space integrates a range of design elements, textures and shapes in this total redesign to create a modern, yet fun and accessible multi-purpose space for the entire family that suits and evolves with the family's needs and lifestyle.
They wanted a space that would reflect their love of entertaining friends and hosting fun gatherings and special family movie nights.
Key features:
An elegant bar/kitchen area with amazing stacked bar tile and seating for 8. A cozy entertainment/home theater/gaming area with dramatic blue toned lighting on the ceiling and behind the flat screen. A dedicated workout area with plenty of space for exercise machines and equipment, with padded, non-slip rubber flooring, mirrored walls and ventilation.
The bonus:
A unique wine storage unit built under the stairwell with a custom window. This was actually one of the most difficult aspects of the build project. The glass was supposed to go down to the floor but there was an issue with a support put in (from the home builder) across the floor that holds up the 3rd floor, so after much back and forth and change of drawings, they decided on a viewing window, which actually creates an open feel and displays the wine. The triangle glass, glass pivot door and metal were custom cut and welded. Stained shiplap, tiles and Vintage View wine racks were installed to finish it off.
