Hai Phong is a busy city with the density of
high using land and having less private space. Most of houses use all land for building, so there are no spaces for gardens or trees.
In this context, a married architect couple ( Hai Long Trinh and Minh Thuy Nguyen) built their house on the building plot that lies in an old residential area. In order to ensure the privacy of the house and also avoid the west sunlight of the tropical country, the total façades of the house are 2- layer insulated walls. All the front windows are opened radically and compactly. Besides, large eaves and a garden are located in the home core.
On this land, there are some 20-years- old trees. There fore, as soon as 2 architects had an idea of designing this house, they wanted to keep old trees still stay in the right position. They made a plan to build the house but they didn’t effect the position of these trees. The frame of the house consists of the main blocks that are linked by the general lobby,so there are some green spaces interleaving.
Open space is totally turned toward the inside, Which creates the green heart of the house. Meanwhile, it is a hopper and devides the wind inti all rooms. Main doors turn into the inner courtyard to maintain the seamless communication of all family members.
