Commissioned by the Blue Sky Center of New Cuyama, Designers on Holiday were invited to design and build the towns very first bus shelter.

Until April 21st 2018 the town did not have a single bus shelter for children waiting for the bus in 100F+ of heat in the winter and 60mph+ winds in the winter.

The shelter was fabricated using re conditioned oil pipes left behind from the oil industry that formed the rural town in the early 1950s and supplemented with aluminium panels.
