Located right next to the Moscow lake and just a short walk from its beach, a young couple quickly grabbed this 120 m² apartment, eager for the waterside lifestyle. They swiftly acquired this property the moment it emerged on the vibrant real estate market.

The owners turned to interior designer Alisa Shabelnikova to make their apartment a blend of timeless aesthetic and modern character. "The place started as a bit of a puzzle with awkward spaces, visible ventilation, and doors that just didn't make sense. We knew we had to start from scratch", Alisa notes.

The makeover led to a smooth setup where each room flows into the next. The large entryway opens up to a living area, highlighted by a big window that shows off the scenic views outside. "First impressions matter, and I aimed to create a space that wows from the get-go", interior designer says. The living zone is a mix of living, dining, and kitchen areas, cleverly designed to fit together.

A key hurdle was hiding the kitchen's bulky vents and pipes behind tailored panels, lowering the ceiling to fit everything just right. "Using walnut veneer that matches the kitchen units brought everything together," the author of the project points out.

The apartment's private sections were carefully planned, featuring a master bedroom with an en-suite and a personal dressing room.. There's also extra storage and a laundry room set apart from the main area. Plus, there’s a guest room that’s all set to become a cozy nursery down the line.

"We chose a soothing warm white throughout the space, contrasted with dark walnut, except in the guest bath which has a touch of deep chocolate", the interior designer adds. This consistent color theme throughout the apartment creates a unified and spacious feel, thanks to the careful selection of materials and colors.

"Working on this project was truly rewarding, the end result perfectly matched what we had envisioned, down to the very last detail", Alisa Shabelnikova concludes.
