A heartfelt journey for our retired African American couple who are strong community leaders returning to the west side of sunny Los Angeles from South Carolina during the pandemic.

The remodel was a 2 year long project that transformed a dark dingy mid-century home into a personalized sanctuary.

The interior architecture of the home was designed to be bright white, like a canvas, so as to have their afrocentric & legacy art be the focal point of the whole home.

Carefully curated and custom furnishings define the essence of their home, without overshadowing their remarkable art.

Overcame challenges, including permit delays, structural challenges and multiple break-ins during construction.
