This modern mountain getaway is a new build in Page County, Virginia, and the newest crown jewel in the area that has long been heralded as the Cabin Capital of Virginia. This custom-built, fully-furnished two bedroom, one bathroom cabin with a color scheme inspired by the song "Tangled Up in Blue" sits on over an acre of land on the Massanutten Mountain range with seasonal panoramic views of the world-famous Blue Ridge Mountains.
Additionally, the home backs to the George Washington National Forest which boasts 40 species of trees, more than 2,000 species of shrubs and herbaceous plants, 78 species of amphibians and reptiles, 60 species of mammals, and approximately 200 species of birds. The call of whippoorwills is often heard in the evenings by the owners who have lived in Virginia for the past two decades.
The new build, completed in October 2024, features 864 sf of single-floor living space, in addition to a furnished 152 sf screened porch with Trex flooring, a ceiling fan and electric fireplace to bring comfort during all seasons, totaling 1,016 sf of living space. Additional features include nine-foot ceilings, large windows in every room with custom blinds, a modern, gourmet kitchen featuring custom cabinetry and granite countertops which carry on the blue and gold theme of the home. Outdoors, the patio area features a firepit area with seating made from boulders excavated during the build, plus a new four-person hot tub overlooking the Shenandoah Valley.
The home, for use as a primary residence, short-term rental, or vacation property, was constructed by a builder known for his luxury home projects in the DC Metro Area. High end finishes, premium luxury vinyl plank flooring, and central heating and air designed by an award-winning, eco-conscious vendor are just some of the premium features that bring all the modern comforts to this peaceful escape less than 10 miles from the amenities and attractions of Luray, Virginia including the awe-inspiring national landmark Luray Caverns, and less than 20 miles to the entrance of Shenandoah National Park and the world-famous Skyline Drive.
