The shell of this tiny home came with the 6 acres of forest on Millie's Gulch on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington that Drew and Alexandra bought at the end of last summer. He's a master builder/carpenter used to working on $million homes on Bainbridge Island and she's an actress-turned filmmaker with a passion for interior design.
Together they created a modern cabin look for the tiny home which reflects the surrounding beauty of the Pacific North West.
There's 270 sq feet of living space, including the spacious sleeping loft which has a queen size mattress. The many custom features include plywood wall panelling and kitchen cabinets. Drew installed a soffit with LED lights that reflect on the galvanised steel ceiling at night. Alexandra sewed the lined cushion covers and curtains and soldered the copper piping bathroom faucet and shower fixture.
The empty space above the living area was filled with a suspended reading loft, that doubles as an extra bunk bed for children or guests, accessed by an iron pipe ladder. Alexandra made the linen covered cushions finished with vintage mother of pearl buttons from the world famous Muscatine button factory in Iowa.
The toilet is an Incinolet which needs a good burst of electricity to burn waste so this is not suitable for off-grid living but would make a wonderful full time home, office, guest house or granny flat.
The tiny home is FOR SALE. More photos and details here.
