The 1920s, 1,200-square-foot single-family, clad in faux-brick, was dated, lacked the architectural details one might expect to see in homes of its era—and also required an electrical overhaul. The homeowners were amazed by what they could accomplish without knocking down a wall. The house had a great layout and perfect flow—the foyer, living room, and dining room were all open but the spaces were distinct. The goal was to build in details that appeared original, blending the old with the new. Mission accomplished.
