The interior decoration is eclectic. Concrete walls and industrial metal shelving are complemented by wood paneling, plant decor, vintage chests, and rugs.

Ukrainian design accents in modern forms are presented by chandeliers with woven shades and lamps made from old jugs. The warmth emitted by clay and light creates an incredible effect of coziness from childhood.

Probably, the most visually expressive design element is vintage rugs. The author of the project concept, Maryna Kruglova, gathered a collection of old rugs and chests in Ukrainian villages: "It has always been important for me, to give new life to old things, because in this way we extend their age and emphasize the time-tested quality."

The ideas for arranging and filling the clubhouse were suggested by the very placement of the cottage town — on a picturesque hill offering panoramic views over Chernechyi forest, Zmievi Valy, and ravines. In the midst of old forests, the connection with nature and the thousand-year history of the Ukrainian land is keenly felt.

For modern architecture to become a harmonious part of the landscape, natural materials are used in construction and decoration as well as durable and super-resistant HPL panels.

A clubhouse with Ukrainian design accents

Innovations next to age-old nature, modern comfort, and Ukrainian traditions of coziness—that is how the clubhouse for residents of a cottage town in the green suburbs of Kyiv greets visitors.

Club House provides a full range of opportunities for health care, sports, and leisure as well as a place for business meetings for the residents of the premium-class cottage town OBRIY Family Club. Under the same roof, the project combined a restaurant with a menu specially developed by a nutritionist, a fitness area with a boxing ring and a separate space for yoga and Pilates, an eco-shop, an Ayurvedic clinic, and an open-air swimming pool. Also, a reliable bomb shelter is provided here to meet the demands of the new age.

"We set ourselves the goal to turn the clubhouse into the heart of this town", says Maryna Kruglova, founder of the EcoBud Project Architecture Bureau and the author of the project's concept. "We created a closed-loop life cycle, full of comfort, on the territory of the complex. At the same time, I wanted that unique feeling of coziness and freedom of action, which happens when we are at home, to reign inside the town."
