Love Apartment

Each home has character and it should be a reflection of the people who live in it. In this way it becomes meaningful to the person and creates a connection, a sense of not just a home, but one's own world. This was the main guiding principle in creating the interior design for a young couple who owned an apartment in Lviv, Ukraine. As a result, we created a light and airy loft with rough textures, sophisticated colors, and handmade ceramic decor.

In the process of redevelopment the kitchen, living room, and hallway were combined into a single space with a kitchen island as the central core. The straight-shaped kitchen found its place along the wall, and the framing of wooden cabinets with niches for plants highlighted it in the space. To make the kitchen hood work, we had to use a ventilation pipe that could not be hidden, and it became a subtle addition to the loft style. Minimalist cabinets hold a myriad of things without cluttering the space. The bedrooms and bathroom remained separate rooms. The glass partition between the bedroom and the bathroom allows natural light to enter the room, so the bathroom doesn't feel like a confined space.

It was important to create a design simple enough to be timeless, and at the same time special enough to have its own face. The aesthetics of simplicity, purity and minimalist lines meet here with live natural textures: white walls next to concrete texture seem even whiter, and soft textiles next to rough wood seem even softer. Wooden benches and logs made of solid oak give the interior a natural feel. We found wood that was cut down as old and dilapidated to give it new life in our apartment. Complex color shades complement the overall interior image.

As accents - ceramic lamps over the island, brass decorative object on the bedroom wall, ceramic sculptures and decor. They were made specifically for this dwelling based on the designer's sketches and thus give the interior a special meaning. Each detail here is filled with sense.
